A company created for this market. SuomiVeto was registered in Finland in January 2026, weeks before the Gambling Act received presidential approval, by the founders of the Dutch sportsbook BetCity. Co-founder Melvin Bostelaar has said the ambition is to be among Finland's leading sportsbooks from day one.
On 12 February 2026 Kambi announced a long-term agreement to supply its Turnkey Sportsbook to SuomiVeto for the Finnish launch. It was Kambi's first partnership aimed specifically at Finland. The same pairing preceded BetCity's launch into the Dutch regulated market in 2021.
