About iGaming Finland
An English-language B2B publication and market intelligence platform covering one thing: Finland's transition from a gambling monopoly to a licensed market.
Finland's licensed gambling market opens on 1 July 2027. Licence applications have been accepted since 1 March 2026, and the regulator has confirmed around fifty of them. Most come from companies outside Finland. Those companies, the suppliers who serve them, and the investors, lawyers, recruiters and analysts around them need to know what is happening. iGaming Finland exists to tell them.
International gambling publications cover Finland as one market among many. We cover only Finland, and we cover it as a business market rather than a consumer one. We do not review casinos, compare bonuses, recommend operators or publish anything that could be read as an invitation to gamble.

How we handle information
The Finnish regulator does not publish the names of licence applicants. That means much of what the industry wants to know cannot be read off a register. We assemble it from company statements, investor communications, conference disclosures, job advertisements and verified reporting. Every data record shows where the information came from, when, and how confident we are. If we cannot cite a named source, we do not publish the claim. Ownership and commercial relationships
iGaming Finland is published from Helsinki. Commercial partnerships, where they exist, are disclosed on the content they support and described on the Commercial Partnerships page. Partners do not influence editorial decisions or data records.

Who writes this
Articles carry the byline iGaming Finland rather than an individual name. That is a deliberate choice for the launch period and not a permanent one: the editorial standard we hold ourselves to is set out on this site and applied consistently, and we would rather be judged on whether records are sourced than on whose name sits above them. As the publication establishes a track record, named bylines will follow.
What we will not do
We do not publish lists of companies expected to apply for a licence. Several such lists circulate, assembled from reasoning about which operators have Nordic infrastructure and regulatory experience. The reasoning is often sound. It is still inference, and a tracker that mixes inference with sourced records is worth less than one that holds fewer entries and states where each came from. Where a company is frequently named elsewhere but has confirmed nothing, our profile says so explicitly.
This is not a gambling site
iGaming Finland is editorial information for industry professionals. We do not operate gambling services, accept bets, promote operators to consumers, carry affiliate links or receive commission on player referrals. Marketing gambling in mainland Finland is restricted by law until 1 July 2027 and regulated thereafter, and nothing on this site is directed at consumers. Company profiles exist to record market activity, not to recommend anyone to play.
Related titles
iGaming Finland is published by YIPI Oy, a company registered in Finland. YIPI Oy also operates Kasinossa.fi, a Finnish-language consumer title in development. The two are editorially separate: different languages, different audiences, and no shared coverage or commercial arrangements. Kasinossa.fi appears in our company directory with that connection disclosed, because a directory that quietly omits titles connected to its own publisher is less useful than one that includes them and says so.
