Ice Cage has become the largest combat sports property in Finland. Its seventh event set an attendance record of 14,550 at Nokia Arena in Tampere in May 2026; the eighth sold out in Turku in September 2026; the ninth is scheduled for Veikkaus Arena in Helsinki on 19 December 2026.
Its relevance to this market is sponsorship. Combat sports have been the most visible channel through which offshore gambling brands have reached Finnish audiences during the monopoly period, and an earlier Ice Cage event was streamed on a Malta-registered casino's site, drawing an assessment from the National Police Board. From July 2027, licensed operators may sponsor for brand visibility within the Act's restrictions. Properties with this audience will be commercially attractive and regulatorily sensitive in equal measure. No finding of unlawfulness has been reported against the promotion.
