The Finnish Supervisory Agency is the authority that assumes responsibility for gambling licensing and supervision from 1 July 2027, taking over from the National Police Board. It operates under the Ministry of the Interior and is funded by fees paid by licence holders.

Finland activity
From 1 July 2027 the Agency grants licences, supervises compliance, enforces marketing restrictions and acts against unlicensed operators targeting Finnish consumers. Its powers include administrative fines, penalty payments, licence withdrawal and injunctions against illegal marketing or game provision, enforceable by conditional fines. Decisions on these measures are public.
It will also receive applications for the gambling software licence, which open on the same date, and operate the supervision system that licence holders must integrate with before they can begin operations.
